Who is Martin and what does hE do?

"My aim is to create fun, interactive and accessible education theatre for modern day audiences."

I began creating historic workshops and performance in 2019 when I graduated from University of Winchester.  After winning 'Best Show' at Winchester Hat Fair's 'Top Hat Competition" I joined a mentoring scheme run by the Theatre Royal Winchester. Between 2018 and 2023 I worked on board HMS Warrior (1860) as a Costumed Interpreter at the National Museum of the Royal Navy, I am now an Education Assistant at the Royal Armouries- Fort Nelson. Though I work for Royal Armouries, this website showcases my freelance work and is separate from my work at Fort Nelson.

I strongly believe that History is not just a subject, it's a passion and our aim is to help inspire a life long love of the subject. Using this aim myself and my fellow actors are extremely skilled at bringing history to life through hosting meet and greets, workshops, or site roaming interactions.

Please take some time to explore my website and what I can offer.

Many thanks,

Martin
